Ruca Fit in-home training comes three ways. A single one-hour session is $175. The 5-session package is $825, or $165 per session. The 10-session package is $1,500, or $150 per session. Both packages are valid for 6 months. If you are unsure, start with a single session. If you know you want to train for a while, a package costs less per hour.
The three options at a glance
- Single session: $175. Pay as you go. Good for a first try.
- 5-session package: $825. That is $165 per session. You save $50 versus five single sessions.
- 10-session package: $1,500. That is $150 per session. You save $250 versus ten single sessions.
All sessions are one hour, one-on-one, at your home. Garrett comes to you in Venice, Marina del Rey, and Santa Monica, within about 3 miles of Venice. Further travel can be arranged, so ask.
Check the math yourself
It helps to see the numbers, so you can judge without trusting a pitch.
- 1Five single sessions: 5 x $175 = $875. The 5-pack is $825. The difference is $50.
- 2Ten single sessions: 10 x $175 = $1,750. The 10-pack is $1,500. The difference is $250.
- 3Per session: $825 / 5 = $165. $1,500 / 10 = $150.
That is how the "Save $50" and "Save $250" figures are reached, and why the 10-pack is the best rate on the page.
Single session: when it makes sense
Pick a single session if:
- You have never had a trainer and want to try one.
- You want to test the in-home format in your space.
- You are not sure how often you will train.
- You want an assessment and a plan, then plan to train on your own for a while.
Your first session is an assessment of where you are today and where you want to go, so it is useful even as a one-off. Read what to expect from in-home personal training for the walkthrough.
5-session package: when it makes sense
The 5-pack suits a defined stretch of work. For example:
- Learning the basics of the main lifts. See the form guides for the squat and the hip hinge.
- Getting back into training after a break, with someone watching your form.
- Building a starter plan you will run alone.
- Trying a trainer for a month or two before a bigger commitment.
If you train once a week, five sessions take a bit over a month. Twice a week, a little over two.
10-session package: when it makes sense
The 10-pack is for people who know they want ongoing coaching. It works well if:
- You want steady accountability for a few months.
- You are working toward a clear goal and need the plan adjusted along the way.
- You value the lowest per-session rate.
- You want to spread sessions across busy periods and travel.
It also pairs well with a "coach plus solo days" approach: train with Garrett once a week and run a simple plan on your own the other days. See how often should you strength train for how that can look.
The 6-month window
Packages are valid for 6 months from purchase. That matters more than it sounds. Life gets busy. Work travel happens. People get sick. A 6-month window means a missed week or a work trip does not burn your sessions. If you travel often, the thinking in staying consistent through a busy work week and travel applies, and the flexible scheduling page covers how booking works.
Think about your calendar before you choose. If you plan to use ten sessions in six months, that is about one and a half per month. That pace is easy to hit even in a packed year.
What happens if I cancel a session?
Cancel with 24 hours notice and the session is rescheduled. With less notice, Garrett will talk through options with you. Life happens, and no one needs a lecture.
How to choose, in three questions
- 1Have I trained with a coach before? If no, begin with a single session or the 5-pack.
- 2Do I know my goal and timeline? If yes, and it is more than a couple of months away, the 10-pack fits.
- 3Will I use the sessions inside 6 months? If you are unsure, pick the smaller package. A package you do not finish is a poor deal at any price.
Still stuck? Start with one session and decide after. You can book a package whenever you are ready.
What is included in each session
Every session, whether single or in a package, has the same ingredients:
- A personalized assessment of your current fitness level and goals
- Custom programming tailored to your needs, space and schedule (see custom programming)
- Real-time form correction and guidance during training
- Whole-food nutrition guidance
There is no tier where coaching gets worse. The package just lowers the price per hour.
Is it worth the money?
Only you can answer that, but you can weigh the factors honestly. Our post is in-home personal training worth it goes through when it pays off and when it does not. If you are comparing trainers, questions to ask a personal trainer will help you compare packages on equal terms: price, length, cancellation, what is covered.
